STUDENTS

The School of Art, Design, and Art History at San Diego State University is a comprehensive and sophisticated university art school. Each semester, students in the School receive instruction in nearly every visual art making and design medium and technology. Working as interns and volunteers, the Downtown Gallery functions as a workshop for students from the School of Art who assist with the organization of exhibitions and related programming. Their contributions serve a vital role in the Downtown Gallery.

FACULTY

Full-time faculty in the SDSU School of Art, Design, and Art History produce extraordinary objects and images, much in demand by galleries, museums, collections, and professional industries around the world. These artists and designers have dedicated a large portion of their time and energy to inspire generations of creative students who have gone on to international importance in their fields. Faculty from the School of Art, Design, and Art History support the Downtown Gallery through participation on the SDSU Downtown Gallery Advisory Committee.
